Tasks and duties 

- Creating timelines and workflows customized for each project's specific content type, volume, languages and file formats
- Regular communication with customers and translator teams regarding project details and deadlines
- Managing QA processes to ensure on-time, polished deliverable
- Documenting processes and regularly suggesting improvements for future iterations
- Supports sales team through developing effective project delivery solutions/proposals including quotas
- Completes project risk analysis and defines mitigation actions of the risks identified
- Creates project plans and schedules based on client-specific requirements; applies appropriate contingencies in planning and resourcing
- Allocates required project resources (people, tools, hardware, software, partners, etc.)
- Regularly monitors client satisfaction and takes improvement actions when necessary
- Creates and controls project budgets, performs cost tracking, issues vendor purchase orders and client invoices, and approves work reports
- In line with project plans: organizes, assigns, measures and monitors work of his/her project team members; ensures team's compliance with standards, practices and policies
- Ensuring all finance systems data is accurate and kept up-to-date
- Risk assessment and strategic planning of activities to minimize potential issues
- Providing a regular status to client on project progress
- Operating with a medium level of support, including recognizing and escalating in a timely manner any issues beyond their control
- University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Experience in the localization industry as a Project Manager
- Excellent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills—you like solving complex puzzles with no instructions
- Strong technical acumen—no engineering skills required, but you are very familiar with many different file types and are eager to learn more about the translation/localization industry
- Strong communication skills—translators are our biggest resource and you will be speaking with them daily
- Strong attention to details

- Multicultural experience/fluency in additional language is a big plus
- Experience with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and project management tools. Any experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) and industry-standard or proprietary localization management, productivity, and/or debugging tools preferred
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Experience with managing outsourced suppliers/partners
- Ability to work with technology and grasp new concepts quickly
- Experience with budget tracking, forecasting and reporting
- Self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills. Able to develop and monitor technical project plans, identify critical milestones, and drive projects to success
- Strong ability to multi-task and to prioritize and reprioritize tasks due to frequent change, delays, interruptions, and unexpected events
- Experience in development of processes and ideas
- Positive, open-minded team player
